Dr Ugeshnie Naidoo was born in Pretoria and attended St Mary’s DSG. She then attended the University of Natal where she completed her MBChB. She then worked in Internal Medicine at Ga-Rankuwa Hospital.
She began registrar training at the University of Natal in 2004 and obtained her FC Derm in 2007 with the College of Medicine South Africa. She joined Skinmatters in 2009. She is now in private practise.

- Lazers dermatology (she is a director of the LCM Skin and Laser Clinic)
- Aesthetic dermatology & Sclerotherapy.

Dr Marius Hannah qualified as a Dermatologist at the University of Pretoria, and has been in private practice in Pretoria since 1995. He is situated at 92 Glenwood Road, Lynnwood Glen, Pretoria. He is also a co-founder and Director of the LCM Skin and Laser Clinic, as well as the Pretoria Dermatology Journal Club since 1996.
He received specialized training and interests in Dermatological surgery, Laser surgery for Medical conditions (Birthmarks, Sunspots, pigment disorders, warts, Scars, stretch marks, unwanted hair, sun damaged skin).
Laser surgery for cosmetic indications (veins, wrinkles, dilated pores , ageing skin), Mesotherapy and Ultraviolet therapy for medical conditions, like Psoriasis and Eczema.

Dr Chantelle Doman

Dr Doman is a Dermatologist practising in Centurion Pretoria. She completed her medical degree at the University of the Free State and her degree in Dermatology in Pretoria in 2008.
Dr Doman has completed several courses in cosmetic dermatology. She is very competent in the use of injection techniques and laser treatments. She enjoys helping patients look their best. She also does surgical dermatology, which includes removing small skin cancers and other tumours and lesions. She has written several articles for magazines such as Finess, Your Pregnancy etc. and been a guest speaker on television programs such as Maatband. She has three children and is the co-developer along with a pharmacologist of a children’s product called Dermi C.
She has also published articles in international journals. She is a member of The Dermatology Society of SA and The South African Society of Dermatological Surgery. Received International scholarship to American Academy of Dermatology in 2007.
She is passionate about dermatology and people and believes: “If you love what you are doing it’s like never working a day in your life!”

Dr Albert La Cock completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Stellenbosch.
His post graduate studies were done at the University of Pretoria, as a graduate in Masters of Medicine in Dermatology.
He has been in private practise for 16 years in the East Rand, where he practice medical and surgical dermatology at Netcare Linmed Hospital, while all his dermatology laser work is done at The LCM Skin & Laser Clinic situated in the Little Company of Mary Hospital in Groenkloof, Pretoria.

Dr Ramlachan completed her MBChB in 1998 and received a fellowship with the College of Dermatology in October 2005. Now in private practice as a dermatologist at Club Surgical Center and Libertas Office Park. Dr Ramlachan is a leading Dermatology Specialist & South Africa’s first female dermatologist, practising MOHS micrographic surgery.
Special interests in dermatology include procedural dermatology:
- Skin cancer management
- Aesthetic dermatology
Dr Ramlachan successfully completed her fellowship in MOHS surgery and is currently a dermatologist performing MOHS Micrographic Surgery.
Dr Ramlachan is part of the MOHS Surgery Unit at Skin Matters but has her own independent Specialist Dermatology practice in Equestria and at the Club Surgical Center in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa.

Qualifications
I received my medical degree from the University of Pretoria in 1983. I then specialised in Dermatology from 1987-1990, and I have now been in private practice for 21 years.
Memberships
I am a member of the Dermatology Society of South Africa and have served on their Executive Committee, and I am registered as a medical practitioner with the Health Professions Council of South Africa, the Medical Association of South Africa, and the General Medical Council in the UK.
Research
I have done international research work in my practise and have presented papers at International Conferences. I am an active consulting Dermatologist for all forms of skin disease, including anti-ageing and aesthetic Dermatology.
LCM Skin & Laser Clinic
I am a founder member of the LCM Skin & Laser Clinic since 1999 and have expertise in the majority of different medical laser applications. I have to date performed the majority of medical laser tattoo removals in South Africa.
Continued Professional Development
I regularly participate in advanced training courses for laser, anti-ageing and aesthetic work, both locally and internationally, as well as attending Dermatology conferences in South Africa and abroad.

Dr Jeannette Joynt is currently in private specialist practice as Dermatologist at the Little Company of Mary Hospital in Pretoria.
Her qualifications include MBChB (Pret), Mprax.med (Pret), H Dip Int Med (SA) and Mmed (Dermatology).
She has held numerous senior positions from 1992 – 2006 as Senior Medical Officer at Kalafong Hospital and various positions at 1 Military Hospital in Pretoria as Principal Medical Officer and Specialist Dermatologist.

Dr Pieter Du Plessis

Dr Pieter du Plessis did his training as a dermatologist at the University of Pretoria. He completed the MMed (Dermatology) as well as the FCDerm (SA).
As a registrar, he spent time in the Dermatological Surgery unit of the Department of Dermatology, University of Newcastle, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, the United Kingdom where he was trained in the basic principles of dermatological surgery.
After qualifying as a dermatologist, he served for a year as a consultant in the Department of Dermatology, 1 Military Hospital before entering private practice.
He has a busy private practise, which he conducts with an academic but practical approach, diagnosing and treating all aspects of dermatological diseases. This involves practising medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.
As a clinician, he has gained considerable experience in treating patients for all relevant indications with ultraviolet, laser and photodynamic therapy at the LCM Skin and Laser Clinic. In his practice he has a weekly half day theatre list, mostly to perform skin cancer surgery.

Dr Reezwana Cassim

Dr Reezwana Cassim completed her MBBCh at the University of the Witwatersrand in 1994. She did her internship at the Medical University of South Africa in 1995, then worked in Paediatrics in 1996 and obtained a Diploma in Child Health through the College of Medicine of South Africa.
She spent a period working as a medical officer in the United Kingdom in 1997/1998. From 1999 to 2003 she worked in the Department of Dermatology at 1 Military Hospital, under the mentorship of Professor Witold Jacyk. She then did a specialisation in Dermatology at the University of Pretoria, also under the mentorship of Professor Witold Jacyk, from 2004-2008.
She commenced private practise in 2008. Her practise is in Centurion at the Netcare Unitas Hospital.
She has published numerous dermatological articles in Medical Journals.
She won a scholarship to the International Congress of Dermatology in 2009.
She is registered with:
- The Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
- The South African Medical Association (SAMA)
- The General Medical Council of Great Britain (GMC)
She is a Life member of the College of Paediatricians of South Africa, a member of the Dermatology Society of South Africa (DSSA), the South African Society of Dermatological Surgery (SASDS), and a member of the Board of Directors of LCM Skin and Laser Clinic.
